A thriving, diverse secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to lead attendance monitoring and support pastoral teams from January 2026.
The Role
This is a key post within the school’s safeguarding and pastoral structure. You will monitor attendance data, follow up absences and work closely with families, Heads of Year and external agencies to promote excellent attendance.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitoring attendance using SIMS/Arbor
- Making first-day calls and following up unexplained absences
- Producing attendance reports for SLT and governors
- Meeting with parents and supporting attendance plans
- Liaising with the pastoral and safeguarding teams
