A comprehensive secondary school in Biggleswade is seeking an English Teacher to join its expanding department. The school is interested in a teacher who can deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons and support pupils through key examination stages.
The Role
Teach English across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 classes depending on experience.
Develop reading comprehension, analytical writing and communication skills.
Teach texts and writing techniques through structured modelling and discussion.
Prepare examination groups for assessments and external examinations.
Use formative assessment to identify gaps and plan appropriate intervention.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong English Language and Literature subject knowledge.
Can deliver well-structured lessons and maintain high expectations.
Provides clear feedback and adapts teaching to pupil needs.
