We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Class Teacher to join a friendly, high-achieving independent primary school in Bexleyheath from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to both full-time and part-time applicants, ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to flourish in a nurturing and enriching environment.

The Role
- Teach a small, well-behaved and eager Year 5 class
- Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Deepen pupils’ knowledge and skills in preparation for Year 6 and beyond
- Promote independence, confidence and a love of learning
- Work collaboratively with a supportive staff team and communicate effectively with parents
- Participate fully in school life, including trips, events and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS2 – ideally Year 5 or Upper Key Stage 2
- A sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum and high expectations for all pupils
- Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
- A warm, child-centred approach and ability to build strong relationships
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and school involvement
