We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join an exceptional primary school. You will play a vital role in supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits. Behaviour Mentor requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs (in school, youth work or mentoring settings)
  • Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s wellbeing and learning outcomes
  • Skilled at implementing behaviour intervention strategies and restorative approaches
  • Able to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff and external professionals
  • Committed to promoting inclusion, building trust and modelling positive behaviour

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour
  • Build positive relationships and provide consistent, structured guidance
  • Help pupils re-engage with learning and develop strategies for long-term success
  • Support teachers in creating calm, positive learning environments
