An Outstanding secondary school in Bedford is looking to appoint a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. The Role
As Attendance Officer, you'll oversee the school's attendance procedures, ensuring accurate records are maintained while supporting students to achieve excellent attendance.
- Monitoring daily attendance and investigating unexplained absences
- Contacting parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
- Producing attendance reports and analysing attendance trends
- Supporting attendance panels and intervention meetings
- Maintaining accurate records using the school's Management Information System
- Working alongside Heads of Year, safeguarding staff and external agencies
- Promoting excellent attendance through proactive initiatives and support

About You
