Maths Teaching Role in a Church of England School
A well-regarded Church of England School in Bath is seeking to appoint a talented and committed Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September. Mathematics is a core subject across the school, with students encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and strong problem-solving skills through an engaging and carefully structured curriculum.
About the Role
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering high-quality lessons that challenge students and support excellent progress.
Students will study a broad range of topics including algebra, geometry, ratio, statistics, probability, and mathematical reasoning, with opportunities to teach A-Level Mathematics depending on experience and departmental needs.
You will support students in building fluency, reasoning, and confidence while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The successful candidate will also contribute to intervention strategies, curriculum development, and wider enrichment opportunities such as maths clubs and competitions.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Develop students’ fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Assess student progress and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Support intervention strategies to raise attainment
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Promote participation in maths enrichment and wider school initiatives

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics
Experience contributing to intervention and enrichment programmes
Ability to support high attainment and examination success
Strong track record of improving student outcomes
