A high-performing secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking an organised and proactive Examinations Officer to join its support team on a permanent, term-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the smooth delivery of both internal and external examinations, ensuring students receive the best possible experience during one of the most important stages of their education.
Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and invigilators, you'll coordinate all aspects of the examinations process while ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations. Whether you're an experienced Exams Officer or an organised administrator looking to move into education, the school offers excellent training and ongoing professional development.
The RoleAs Examinations Officer, you'll take responsibility for the planning, administration and delivery of examinations throughout the academic year. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating all internal and external examinations from entries through to results
- Preparing examination timetables and managing candidate entries
- Ensuring full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations
- Recruiting, training and coordinating exam invigilators
- Working with the SEND team to implement access arrangements
- Maintaining secure handling of examination papers and confidential materials
- Supporting post-results services, including reviews and appeals
- Producing examination reports and maintaining accurate records

About YouThe school is looking for a highly organised individual who can remain calm under pressure and manage multiple deadlines with confidence. Previous experience in examinations administration would be advantageous but is not essential.
