This is a vital role for someone who enjoys a varied workday, ranging from hands-on repairs to ensuring the high-level security and safety of the school site.
The Role
- General Maintenance: Executing essential repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and painting.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Conducting and recording statutory checks, including Fire Alarm testing, Water Hygiene (Legionella), and Emergency Lighting.
- Site Security: Managing the morning unlock or evening lock-up, ensuring the perimeter is secure and all systems are operational.
- Contractor Management: Overseeing external tradespeople and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
The Candidate
- Trade Experience: A background in a trade (plumbing, electrical, or carpentry) is highly advantageous.
