A successful Primary School in the London Borough of Barnet is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead its busy administrative team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys leading a team while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a busy school office. The successful candidate will oversee all administrative functions and provide vital operational support to the Headteacher, leadership team, staff, parents and pupils.
You will manage the administration team, oversee reception services, coordinate admissions, maintain pupil records and ensure all school communications are handled professionally. The role includes organising meetings, managing diaries, preparing reports and maintaining confidential records while ensuring office procedures are consistently followed.
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will assist with HR administration, support finance processes, monitor office budgets and identify opportunities to improve systems and administrative efficiency across the school. You will also coordinate educational visits, whole-school events, parent communications and wider administrative projects while ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and school policies.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding organisational and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and previous experience managing a busy administrative function within a school or similar environment.
