A dynamic and ambitious secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department. This is an exciting opportunity to help students develop strong communication skills, cultural understanding and a love of languages that will support their academic success and future opportunities.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will deliver high-quality Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates. You will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging language curriculum that supports students of all abilities, helping them develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish.
Working collaboratively within the department, you will contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities and the continued improvement of teaching and learning within the school.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons aligned with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications
- Develop students’ communication skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong progress and attainment
- Differentiating lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
- Assess, track and report on student progress effectively
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Support students through targeted interventions and additional learning opportunities where required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for language learning
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
