A well-established secondary school in Buckinghamshire is seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join its busy and supportive technical services team.
The successful candidate will provide practical technical support across the school, helping staff and students make effective use of technology throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line and second-line technical support

Respond to IT issues raised by staff and students

Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops and mobile devices

Install and configure hardware and software

Support Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts

Assist with Microsoft Teams and online collaboration platforms

Maintain printers, scanners and classroom technology

Support interactive whiteboards and presentation equipment

Assist with network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

Maintain IT equipment and asset registers

Prepare equipment for new staff and students

Support staff onboarding and account setup

Carry out software updates and routine maintenance

Escalate complex issues where appropriate

Assist with IT projects and technology upgrades

Maintain a high standard of customer service
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for an IT professional who is proactive, organised and confident dealing with users at all levels.
You should have good technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting education. Previous school experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
