An independent school in Richmond upon Thames is looking for an AV Technician to join its busy technical team.
This is a varied position where you'll be supporting everyday teaching as well as the many events that take place across the school. From getting a classroom ready for a presentation to supporting a large school production, you'll be the person staff can rely on when they need AV to work properly.
What You'll Get Involved With
Set up and operate audio and visual equipment across the school.
Support assemblies, lectures, presentations, concerts and performances.
Provide first-line troubleshooting for AV equipment and systems.
Manage microphones, speakers, projectors, displays and video equipment.
Help staff with presentations and video conferencing.
Carry out regular checks and basic maintenance.
Assist with AV equipment installations and upgrades.
Keep equipment stored, labelled and ready for use.
Has previous experience working with AV equipment, whether that's within a school, theatre, events company, university or corporate environment.
You'll need to be technically confident, but just as importantly, approachable. A big part of the job is helping teachers and other staff who may not be particularly technical, so being able to explain things clearly is important.
Experience with live sound, lighting, projection or school productions would be a real plus.

Permanent position within an independent school.
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
