A well-regarded secondary academy in Nottingham is seeking a diligent and student-focused Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026.
The Role
Attendance is a cornerstone of student success, and you will be integral in improving and maintaining high levels of attendance and punctuality across the school.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Monitoring daily attendance and late arrivals via the MIS
- Conducting first-day absence calls and follow-up communications
- Producing weekly attendance reports for Heads of Year and SLT
- Coordinating attendance meetings with families and external agencies
- Supporting safeguarding procedures where low attendance triggers concern
- Working closely with the pastoral team to identify patterns and barriers to attendance
