The role involves providing comprehensive technical support to the Science teaching team (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) across KS3–KS5. Key duties include:
- Preparing essential practical equipment and materials for lessons
- Ensuring the safe storage and disposal of chemicals/materials
- Maintaining apparatus
- Undertaking basic administrative tasks for the department
You will be instrumental in the smooth running of the school’s well-equipped laboratories.
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification or a degree in a Science subject (Chemistry background highly desirable)
- Proven experience working in a school or industrial laboratory setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding safety regulations
- Familiarity with COSHH regulations and safe handling of chemicals
