Working across the school site, you will help ensure that the buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained. From carrying out routine maintenance and health and safety checks to supporting school events and contractors, you will make an important contribution to the smooth running of the school.

The Opportunity
- Maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
- Carry out routine repairs, maintenance and basic DIY tasks.
- Complete regular health and safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Open and secure the school site each day, ensuring the premises remain safe and secure.
- Support the management of contractors and oversee maintenance works when required.
- Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for assemblies, examinations, parents' evenings and school events.
- Monitor site equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
- Support emergency procedures and respond appropriately to site-related incidents.
About You
- Have previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, maintenance or site management role.
- Possess practical maintenance and DIY skills across a range of tasks.
- Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures within a school or similar environment.
- Be organised, reliable and able to work independently using their own initiative.
- Take pride in maintaining high standards across the school site.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills when working with staff, pupils, visitors and contractors.
