A prestigious independent school in Ascot is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to oversee and lead the operational, financial and administrative functions of the school. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong commercial awareness, financial acumen and organisational expertise. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head and Governors to ensure the school operates efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with its long-term strategic vision.
The Role
- Leading the school’s financial management, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Overseeing HR, recruitment and staff compliance procedures
- Managing contracts, procurement and supplier relationships
- Ensuring regulatory compliance across health & safety, safeguarding and statutory requirements
- Supervising site, facilities and administrative teams
- Supporting strategic planning and contributing to senior leadership decisions
- Monitoring risk management and operational efficiency
- Overseeing income streams including fees, lettings and commercial opportunities
