We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Art Teacher to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford. As an Art Teacher, you will deliver inspiring, imaginative and technically strong lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, supporting students to develop confidence, creativity and independent artistic thinking. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Art Teacher or a confident classroom practitioner looking to work in a highly supportive and high-performing environment.
You will work within a well-established Creative Arts department with excellent studio facilities, a wide range of traditional and digital resources, and strong departmental leadership. The department plays a key role in whole-school life through exhibitions, enrichment projects and cross-curricular collaboration, and enjoys consistently strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Art or a related creative subject
- PGCE or QTS
- Experience teaching Art to KS3, KS4 and ideally KS5
- Strong classroom management and subject knowledge
- Commitment to fostering creativity and high standards of student achievement
Salary
The salary for this Art Teacher position will be paid to scale in line with MPS/UPS.
