To achieve our ambitious growth plans we recognise we need to recruit the very best and at pace. As part of the March Talent Acquisition Team, you will ensure that we attract, hire and onboard the most qualified candidates who match our Group objectives and add to our company culture, now and in the longer-term. Responsibility for leading longer-term talent pipe lining and strategic hiring projects with a focus on engineering and Infrastructure project teams will also be key.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the business to qualify resource requirements and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment with a focus on candidate experience and equitable processes.
- Proactively build diverse talent pipelines for future growth, in-demand and niche roles.
- Ensure an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience through meeting agreed response times, great communication and prompt activity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, building strong partnerships by offering support and guidance throughout the recruitment process including sharing knowledge of external markets and candidate pools.
- Understand company market positioning and branding to develop a compelling pitch to generate candidate interest.
- Demonstrate strong understanding and expertise in engineering and relevant fields.
- Assist in developing and delivering creative ideas and strategies to promote March in customer communities, actively promoting the brand and March as an employer of choice for everyone.
- Establish positive working relationships with internal colleagues across all business units, being an ambassador for the service internally.
- Determine optimal job advertising mix and strategies, including job boards, careers pages and social networks.
- Ensure that the recruitment CRM is kept updated with the status of all vacancies/ candidates and best practice recruitment processes are followed.
- Manage agency use and liaise with approved recruitment agencies (where required) in a professional manner ensuring they have all the relevant information to support the hiring process.
- Travel to national locations to support recruitment activities and site engagement.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in recruitment, managing multiple hires at various levels, ideally through a combination of agency and in-house.
- Track record in hiring mechanical and electrical engineers and relevant project teams (essential).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Demonstrable experience of creating and developing talent pipelines.
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, recruitment technologies and AI and an interest in their ongoing development.
- Led and embedded diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate continuous learning for recruitment and personally.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to network via social media and other professional platforms and events.
- Self-managing the ability to plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
- Passionate about recruitment, striving to provide an industry best service and finding the best talent.
