Service Engineer

As the Service Engineer you will deliver high levels of service following the company’s established procedures by attending breakdowns, completing regular service calls, installation work as well as generating new business recommendations. \\n\\nThe ability to work on a wide variety compressed air systems as well as screw compressors, along with the ability to perform technical assessment and appraisals of engineering equipment and requirements.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nComplete service reports, timesheets, job sheets, and recommendations accurately and on time in accordance with laid down procedures.\\n\\t\\nPromote the company to secure opportunities for additional work.\\n\\t\\nRepair broken-down equipment under emergency call out schemes.\\n\\t\\nSupport system commissioning and training activities.\\n\\t\\nCarry out equipment and system installation work at customer sites.\\n\\t\\nComplete appropriate risk assessment and method statement paperwork before commencing work.\\n\\t\\nMaintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers.\\n\\t\\nParticipate in the Call Out Rota as required.\\n\\nMaintain company vehicle in accordance with guidelines.\\n\\t\\nEnsure company property is always secure, and that theft or abuse of company property is reported to the relevant authorities.\\n\\t\\nProvide feedback on any product design features causing maintenance or operational difficulties.\\n\\t\\nEnsure ongoing compliance with the company’s environmental procedures.\\n\\t\\nEnsure ongoing compliance with company’s Health and Safety procedures.\\n\\t\\nTo always comply with relevant on-site health and safety requirements.\\n\\t\\nSubmit expenses in accordance with company policy and ensure that expense documentation for team is detailed, documented, signed off before submitting to Finance.\\n\\nSkills and Experience\\n\\nFamiliar with compressed air equipment, its associated controls and its service and maintenance requirements.\\n\\t\\nProfessional approach to work.\\n\\t\\nYou will combine an engineering qualification with excellent interpersonal and IT skills and a desire to deliver world-class customer service through the provision of quality workmanship. \\n\\t\\nBe familiar with compressed air equipment, its associated controls and its service and maintenance requirements.\\n\\t\\nBe familiar with modern servicing and faultfinding techniques.\\n\\t\\nAwareness of electrical/electronic and PLC controlled systems and their testing and repair.\\n\\t\\nGood communicator.\\n\\nSpecific Skills / Qualifications\\n\\nMechanical or electromechanical skills training or Apprenticeship\\n\\t\\nAbility to work with both low pressure and high-pressure machines.\\n\\nPrevious experience in a similar job function in a related field.\\n\\nThe individual will need to obtain site clearance for a number of high profile sites and pass a DBS check.\\n\\t\\n Hold a full clean driving licence\\n\\nWhat we offer\\n\\nA competitive salary and benefits package appropriate to this position\\n\\t\\nAn employer who values the ongoing wellbeing of its employees\\n\\t\\nCareer development within a successful and growing business\\n\\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
