We are currently recruiting a Foot Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services across multiple sites within London. This role requires excellent technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities- To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by Helpdesk team including, but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
- Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
- Electrically you will be working on single and three phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and more electrical duties.
- Production of detail technical quotations - including correct parts and labour times required to ensure profitability, cost control and client satisfaction.
- Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
- Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with a skilled team to achieve client objectives.
- To liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / area without disruption to the client.
- Experience of working on single and three phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting and power, UPS systems and more electrical duties.
- Sound fault finding skills on all forms of electrical plant / systems.
- Outstanding communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
- Strong fault-finding experience is essential in this role, and you will be expected to carry out works on traditional plant equipment right through to more modern systems.
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
- City & Guilds/NVQ - Electrical Installation / Maintenance or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE.
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
- Testing and Inspection certification is desired.
- A clear understanding of Electricity at Work safe working practices.
- Knowledge and experience of BMS, generator, control, lighting systems, and ACOPS L8.
- IPAF/PASMA Beneficial.
Due to the nature of the contract, you will need to go through contract specific vetting – DBS, financial and employment background checks.
