The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, modification, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment across a range of customer sites and industries. The role provides hands‑on leadership and technical guidance to electricians, ensuring all project activities — including new installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement works — are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The Electrical Supervisor will ensure full compliance with food industry standards, site procedures, and relevant electrical regulations, while driving quality, productivity, and best practice across all workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order materials, manage small team of electricians, complete timesheets, conduct HSE audits, accident investigations and propose corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure that installation of electrical systems is correct to specification.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety, CDM principles, permit systems, and contractor control.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Produce Bill of Materials from drawings for estimating and purchasing.
  • Undertake site surveys to aid costing or design.
  • Contribute to cost reduction and value engineering on projects, where required.

Skills and Experience

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH, or similar health and safety qualifications are desirable.
  • Strong practical electrical installation skills in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Competence in cable installation, glanding, termination, and panel wiring.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, motors, drives, sensors, and basic instrumentation.
