We are March, the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long-term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an EC&I Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplined projects based out of our offices in Swadlincote.
Responsibilities- Client collaboration to establish initial requirements including site visits and survey.
- Producing electrical schematics, cable block diagrams, PLC I/O schedules, cable schedules, and system architecture using AutoCAD where required.
- Specifying Instrumentation and completing instrumentation and equipment schedules.
- Supporting feasibility / FEED studies.
- Manage and oversee Electrical installations on site.
- Undertake electrical and instrumentation FAT, testing and commissioning activities on site or at suppliers' premises.
- Compile Risk assessment and method statements to support the work undertaken.
- Supporting the estimating / quotation process by obtaining equipment & subcontractor quotations and ensuring quotes meet the specification required.
- Procurement of equipment and services within the project budget.
- Attending client site meetings and internal project meetings.
- Visit sites throughout the UK as required to support the project, this may require overnight stays at critical points within the project depending on location.
- Identify and capture project variations Compile costs, identify scope changes and relay to the project manager.
- Manage and drive cost reduction and value engineering of projects.
- Work in accordance with client site / project specifications.
- Work in accordance with legislation BS7617:2018 Electrical specifications.
- Work in accordance with DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
- HNC in electrical engineering.
- Control Panel experience required.
- Instrumentation set-up experience required.
- Explosive atmosphere experience preferred.
- AutoCAD Electrical proficient.
- Word and Excel Proficient.
