We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Team Leader to join a busy and expanding team at our client’s manufacturing facility in Burton Latimer.

As the Building Services Team Leader, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of building services and maintenance activities across the site.

Leading a multi-skilled operational team, you will ensure that both planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will coordinate day-to-day maintenance priorities, support client requirements, and drive a culture of service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of skilled tradespeople delivering maintenance services across the site.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring work requests are logged, monitored, and completed through the CMMS system.
  • Collaborate with the service desk to ensure work orders are accurately recorded, processed, and invoiced.
  • Coordinate the availability of materials, equipment, and external contractors to support maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations to the client, including assessing job requirements and preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) where required.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience within building maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team of skilled tradespeople.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrable experience identifying and implementing service improvements.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Previous experience in a Building Services Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
