As an IMS Core Engineer, you’ll be part of a specialist technical team responsible for testing, validating, and supporting mission critical communication solutions. This role is key to ensuring the performance, availability, and reliability of IMS Core services across Core, RAN and Application layers.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical expertise in IMS Core and MCX, supporting the definition and execution of test strategies for all network elements and software releases.
- Defining and executing Functional, Performance, Accessibility, and Compatibility testing to agreed project timelines.
- Performing end-to-end testing, deep dive analysis, and root cause investigation across LTE and TETRA networks.
- Executing software upgrades, regression testing, and lifecycle testing on VNF-based Core nodes deployed on VMware architecture.
- Tracking test progress, managing defects, and maintaining detailed test execution reports and performance logs.
- Supporting integration and client testing environments, providing technical analysis, logs, and feedback to internal teams and third parties.
Requirements:
- Strong background in IMS Core technologies, particularly IMS Voice, Video, and Data services.
- Proficiency with LTE testing and analysis tools including Wireshark, SIP/RTP/RTCP/Diameter tracing, IXIA, Viavi, Spirent, XCAL, QXDM, Jira, Logcat, and Putty.
- Experience with VNF architecture deployments and software lifecycle testing on VMware platforms.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Flexibility to support on-call working and travel to customer locations as required.
