Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Print & Embroidery Manager to oversee all aspects of their garment embellishment production. This role combines team leadership with practical, day-to-day machine operation, ensuring production targets are met with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all print and embroidery activities and team members
- Plan and structure workflow throughout the year, including bulk DTF transfer production in quiet periods
- Manage and train seasonal staff during peak periods
- Operate, maintain, and clean machinery
- Oversee use of the Plotter (vinyl transfer machine)
- Support embroidery production, including operating and overseeing the embroidery machine
- Inspect products for accuracy, detect and correct stitching or production defects, and regulate machine settings
- Liaise with external screen printers to coordinate weekly job flows
- Work closely with the Order Fulfilment team to ensure customer requirements are met
- Provide guidance on logo size, placement, and design feasibility
- Order supplies
- Drive the Company van as required
Experience & Skills Required:
- Strong competency in Adobe Illustrator (essential)
- Previous experience with DTF printing, plotters, or embroidery machinery is advantageous (full training is provided)
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work well under pressure, particularly during peak seasons
- Strong organisational and workflow management skills
- Full UK driving licence (required for occasional van driving)
