Joining a busy Events team you will be working on a variety of events from small to large. You will be involved in all aspects of event planning and logistics, gaining a wide variety of experience that will lead to assisting in project managing events and working within different areas of the Events Team.
Key Responsibilities of an Events Coordinator
- Assisting the Event Team in the production of all events
- Being prepared to negotiate and communicate with suppliers
- Working when required to ensure stock records are accurately kept at all times, and purchasing stock when required
- Maintain and develop a contacts database of contractors and suppliers
- Communicating with all those involved in the events on a regular basis
- Assisting with Hotel and travel bookings
Key Competencies of an Events Coordinator
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- 1-2 years’ experience of working within the events industry, including stock management
- Great attention to detail at all times
- Organised and creative
- Can-do attitude, analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated with ability to use initiative and manage work load with minimal supervision
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable while working under pressure also outside of normal office hours
