Overview of an Onshore Collector:
As an Onshore Collector, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large, complex customer accounts, focusing on collections, query management and reconciliations. Working within a busy and supportive Accounts Receivable team, you will play a key role in achieving strict ageing and collection KPIs, while building strong internal and external customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of an Onshore Collector:
- Manage day-to-day collections and AR activity on high-value, complex customer accounts.
- Monitor debtor balances and reduce DSO in line with tight ageing KPIs.
- Reconcile complex accounts using Excel to analyse detailed line-item data.
- Collect outstanding monies within agreed payment terms and credit policy.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support cash forecasting, reporting and scheduled AR activities.
- Identify and resolve complex account queries and issues.
Key competencies of an Onshore Collector:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Proven experience managing large, complex reconciliations.
- Understanding of sales deductions, rebates and trading agreements.
- Organised, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
