Shared Services Manager
to lead and evolve our centralised finance operations, covering
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control , and support for
acquisition integration . This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and identifying opportunities for
digitalisation and scalable growth
across the Group. Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions, Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations, and reporting, Monitor KPIs and service levels to ensure high performance and continuous improvement,
Process Optimisation & Digitalisation Identify and implement automation opportunities across transactional finance processes, Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve dataaccuracy, Evaluate and deploy digital tools and platforms to enhance shared services delivery,
Scalability & Growth Enablement Design and implement scalable processes to support business growth and increased transaction volumes, Develop standard operating procedures and controls to ensure consistency across entities, Support integration of newly acquired businesses into shared services operations,
Stakeholder Engagement Act as a key liaison between shared services and business units, ensuring alignment and responsiveness, Collaborate with IT, procurement, and finance teams to deliver cross-functional improvements, Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on performance and opportunities,
Compliance & Controls Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements, Support audit processes and maintain documentation for compliance purposes, Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team,
Day to Day tasks will include overseeing the successful operation of-
Accounts Payable: Overseeing the successful processing of invoices using a digital scanning tool (Tungsten) and the successful transfer into the ERP (IFS), Ensure line matching is performed against purchase orders and postings are made to the financial records, Manage vendor payments, and handle queries from suppliers, Liaise with operations to ensure queries are resolved and backlogs addressed.
Accounts Receivable: Overseeing the credit control and allocation of cash to customer accounts process, Manage the customer onboarding and credit checking process, Manage customer accounts and timely submission to customer statements,
Intercompany Recharges: Handle group recharges of centralised costs, and support group initiatives to centralise costs, Ensure the intercompany policy and timelines are adhered to across the Group.
Tax: Manage the correct treatment of VAT on invoices processed,
Skills and Experience
Accounting Expertise Deep understanding of finance processes like accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Analytical Thinking Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
Process Improvement & Change Management Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing streamlined processes. Experience in leading change initiatives and managing transitions within finance operations.
Change Management Ability to leads teams through additional integrations of future acquisitions,
Service Orientation Maintains a customer-focused mindset, ensuring internal stakeholders receive timely and accurate support. Manage the skillset in the team effectively to ensure the Shared Service Centre is effective and value adding.
