We are March, the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long-term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear. We have the opportunity for a Compliance Team Leader to be based at our office in Peterborough.
The work will entail largely electrical scope of compliance installation projects such as machinery safety upgrades, electrical control panel remedials and modifications, ATEX area installations, and ATEX asset inspections & remedials.
Key Responsibilities- Installation of automation & safety related parts of control systems (existing & new)
- Installation of cabling and containment systems
- Electrical panel assessments and remedial actions
- Electrical testing of new and existing installations
- Installation in designated ATEX environments
- ATEX inspections and asset remedial actions
- Mobilisation and understanding of project installation requirements
- Project installation timelines are achieved
- Quality control
- Commissioning
- Project documentation
- Leading a team undertaking electrical installation in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Installing electrical cable systems and containment
- Installing to wiring, cable block and termination diagrams
- Building/working in existing and new automation & control panels
- Knowledge of PLC control wiring systems, instrumentation, and motor starter control types
- Understanding of relevant standards to machinery safety & electrical controls
- CompEX 01-06 and/or experience working in designated ATEX areas
- Knowledge / experience of machinery safety and safety circuits. It would be an advantage to understand SIL and PLr ratings.
- Preferably hold Electrical qualifications BTEC and/or NVQ3
- Minimum AM2 & 18th Edition C&G 2391-52 would be an advantage
- CompEx Dust & Gas would be an advantage
