Marcenta is looking for an AI Manager to own and grow our AI chartering desk - the AI-assisted layer that handles cargo, vessel, operations and finance enquiries around the clock before handing off to a human broker. You will manage the tools, data and workflows behind the desk, and work closely with brokers and operations to keep every AI-guided conversation grounded in real market data.

  • Own and continuously improve the AI chartering desk's prompts, workflows and data feeds.
  • Integrate live Baltic index, bunker and market data into AI-guided conversations.
  • Work with brokers and operations to route enquiries to the right person quickly and accurately.
  • Monitor AI output quality and put guardrails in place so nothing binding goes out unchecked.
  • Identify new opportunities to use AI across chartering, operations and market intelligence.
  • Experience building or managing AI-powered tools or workflows, ideally customer-facing.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, prompts and structured data, even without a full engineering background.
  • Interest in or willingness to learn shipping and dry bulk chartering fundamentals.
  • Strong judgement on where AI adds value and where a human broker should take over.
