Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
Oversight of sales ledger, purchase ledger and banking processes.
Monitoring working capital, debtors and creditors.
Stock / inventory reporting and margin analysis.
VAT, PAYE and wider statutory / compliance responsibilities.
Year-end support and liaison with external accountants / auditors.
Development of financial controls, reporting processes and systems.
Supporting and developing a small finance team.
The business is looking for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a broad finance remit within a fast-moving SME environment.
- Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
- Strong management accounts, budgeting and cash flow forecasting experience.
- Good understanding of financial controls, compliance and reporting.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to work across both operational and strategic finance.
- Strong Excel and finance systems skills.
