Due to an exciting merger, a leading accountancy practice is expanding its team and is now recruiting for a Senior Audit Manager in the Slough area. Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with clients via phone and email.
- Ensure all queries are discussed with the client and key risk areas, or unresolved matters are brought to the client managers or partner attention.
- Assist in job planning and workflow of accounts and audit work.
- Chasing clients where necessary to ensure jobs are progressed timely and efficiently once records have been received.
- Ensure the client control schedule has been updated accurately at all stages of the assignment, from the receipt of client records through to job completion.
- Motivate and train junior members of staff.
- Assist with pre-audit planning with manager and partner.
- Attend client premises for each audit assignment at planning and field work stage as necessary.
- Document and test audit clients systems and controls notes.
- Manage time appropriately so that accounts preparation work and corporation tax returns can be filed on time.
- Maintain and develop existing as well as new customers, through proactive service and support.
- Self-development - Develop relevant knowledge and skills through continued study.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an external audit role.
- Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- This role is hybrid working with 3 days spent in the office a week.
