This role would suit a part-qualified accountant who has designs on working their way up to financial controller and beyond. The position of management accountant will report directly into the Finance Director of a small but rapidly growing software business. Offering the chance to work with someone we have known for many years and who also has a history of developing and promoting members of the finance team. You will be offered a fully remote contract and will be involved in the below set of tasks from the start.
- Timely preparation for the month management accounts
- Preparing required accrual and prepayment journals
- Managing the companies fixed assets
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Assisting with quarterly and annual forecasting & budgeting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll reconciliation and journal posting
- VAT returns
- Ad-hoc reporting as required by SLT
Person specification
- Active studier, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA
- Significant experience in a month end reporting role to date, be that financial or management accounts
- Ambitious and eager for career opportunities and personal development
- Excellent communicator and able to liaise with senior stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills
- A desire to embrace AI and improve process and procedures
