We have a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant / Analyst to join a fast paced, growing business on an interim basis for approximately six months. You will take full ownership of the balance sheet, drive high‑quality reconciliations, and play a key role in delivering a smooth, accurate data migration as the business upgrades its financial systems. This is a hands‑on role for someone who loves getting into the detail while improving processes and strengthening financial control. This is an immediate hire, offering a competitive day rate and a hybrid working pattern with only 1/2 x days per week in their offices in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance Sheet Ownership - Take full responsibility for the balance sheet, ensuring every line is accurate, justified, and fully reconciled.
- Reconciliations - Deliver tight, timely reconciliations across all key accounts (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany, payroll, etc.).
- Data Migration - Lead and support data cleansing, mapping, validation, and testing as part of a major system migration.
- Financial Analysis - Turn reconciled data into insight, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Reporting - Produce clear, concise management reporting with commentary that adds value.
- Controls & Process Improvement - Strengthen financial controls and streamline reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work with IT, operations, and finance teams to ensure data integrity during and after migration.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in balance sheet reconciliations and financial control.
- Proven involvement in data migration, system upgrades, or ERP transitions.
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
- Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or SQL is a bonus.
- Confident communicator able to challenge, question, and improve.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics) is highly desirable.
