Overview
Marc Daniels Recruitment is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a leading global media company, based in London, on a 3/6-month temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, creative environment, supporting a highly successful business during a period of change and growth.
We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller who is immediately available and ready to step into a senior role, overseeing financial operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring robust financial control across the business along with strong management & leadership capabilities to direct the wider finance team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including month-end close, reporting, and cashflow management.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
- Business partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
- Drive efficiencies and improvements in financial processes and systems.
- Manage and develop a small finance team.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience within the media, entertainment, or creative industries is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of operating at Finance Controller level.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
- Excellent leadership and direct management skills are essential
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Must be immediately available or on a very short notice period.
