A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Finance Analyst to join a well-established business on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a newly created role that offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the chance to contribute to key strategic and commercial initiatives.
Reporting into the FP&A Manager, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business case evaluation and performance analysis. This position is ideally suited to a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders, driving improvements and using data to influence decision-making.
The Role
- Delivering weekly and monthly volume, revenue and performance forecasting
- Supporting annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes
- Reviewing Capex and Opex business cases and tracking realised benefits
- Analysing financial and operational performance against budget and forecast
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities to support commercial decision-making
- Monitoring cost-saving and revenue-generating initiatives across the business
- Producing headcount and workforce planning models
- Partnering with procurement and operational teams to assess commercial impacts
- Supporting cashflow forecasting and scenario analysis
- Improving financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities
- Assisting senior finance leadership on ad hoc strategic projects
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or a strong finalist
- Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, FP&A or Commercial Finance role
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query or finance systems would be advantageous
- Keen interest in systems, automation and process improvement
