Are you a proactive and analytical graduate with a keen eye for detail, looking to kick-start your career in finance? We are seeking a self-motivated and organised Graduate Management Accountant to join a dynamic divisional team. In this role, you will work closely with business operations, providing meaningful information and analysis to support informed decision-making. You will be a key business partner to the Operations and Sales Teams, ensuring timely analysis and supporting ad-hoc information requests.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining weekly P&Ls and supporting files.
  • Completing daily and weekly reporting, including revenue, cost, and volumes.
  • Actively participating in the preparation of depot budgets.
  • Preparing management accounts to help operational teams assess financial performance, understand variances, and highlight concerns.
  • Assisting in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Preparing monthly accruals and prepayment schedules.
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Actively participating in various ad-hoc projects.

What we’re looking for:

  • A proactive team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a questioning approach, with the ability to not only create accurate reports but also to review and question the numbers and their impact.
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ideally, some experience in a finance function, and preferably studying for professional exams.
  • A driving license is desirable as the role will require travelling.
