Job Description

Marc Daniels are working with a well known comapny based in Staines to find a new Finance Power BI Analyst, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our suite of business intelligence tools. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver best-in-class dashboards and reports that provide clarity on performance, trends, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard Development: Design and build intuitive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards for core financial metrics (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Budget vs. Actual).

  • Data Modelling: Develop robust and scalable data models using Power Query, connecting to various data sources including our ERP system and SQL databases.

  • DAX Mastery: Write complex and efficient DAX measures to deliver powerful analytical capabilities to the business.

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to gather requirements, provide analysis, and drive data literacy across the organisation.

  • Data Integrity: Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, reliable, and delivered on time.

  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve analytical processes.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or Finance Analyst, specifically within a finance environment.

  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Power BI, including advanced DAX and Power Query (M).

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.

  • A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data for all audiences.
