The Role
Marc Daniels is working with a high-growth, multi-site UK business to appoint a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner to a forward-thinking finance team. This is a highly commercial role, offering real influence over strategic and operational decision-making, with full remote working. This opportunity will suit a qualified finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, shaping commercial strategy, and providing insight that drives profitable growth and performance improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a finance partner to commercial and operational stakeholders, providing insight and challenge
- Supporting commercial performance analysis, margin management, and profitability improvement initiatives
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term planning for designated business areas
- Producing and enhancing commercial reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and management packs
- Analysing variances, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating data into actionable insight
- Supporting investment appraisals, business cases, and strategic initiatives
- Providing financial input into pricing, cost control, and efficiency improvement decisions
- Playing a key role in the month-end close, including meaningful commentary and performance analysis
- Driving continuous improvement across reporting, processes, and financial controls
- Supporting wider finance transformation and change projects as the business evolves
The Ideal Candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Proven experience in a Commercial Finance Business Partner or Finance Business Partner role
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision-making beyond the numbers
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging and challenging senior non-finance stakeholders
- Experience within a fast-paced, multi-site or complex organisation is advantageous
