Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with a leading FTSE Listed business to recruit a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant into their finance team.

This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, controls, and working closely with the wider business.

You will take ownership of key aspects of statutory and financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close, and help ensure the integrity of the balance sheet.

The role will also involve working with senior stakeholders, supporting audit activity, and contributing to process improvements across finance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial reporting in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc finance projects where required.
  • Improve reporting processes and strengthen financial control.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, ACA with 2 years PQE
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close.
  • Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who can work well with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or finance systems.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to get involved in a broad role.
