We’re working with a leading international organisation seeking an experienced P2P Lead to take ownership of their Purchase to Pay operations across multiple regions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, complex environment and enjoys driving process improvement, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading a high‑performing shared services function.
The Role
As the P2P Lead, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for all P2P operational matters — ensuring smooth day‑to‑day performance, managing escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across accounts payable, supplier management, and procurement processes. You’ll play a key role in aligning P2P operations with wider business objectives, including working capital optimisation, sustainability, and transformation programmes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Purchase to Pay operations, from supplier onboarding through to invoice and payment processing.
- Act as the main escalation point for P2P‑related issues, providing expert guidance and resolution support.
- Drive efficiency, standardisation, and automation across P2P processes.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to deliver process improvements and implement new technologies.
- Support direct and indirect tax reporting and act as a subject matter expert for tax‑related P2P queries.
- Lead and mentor the shared services team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all P2P activities.
- Manage and review KPIs, SLAs, and supplier relationships to ensure consistent high performance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver transformational change and system enhancements.
- Promote best practices in compliance, internal controls, and regional regulations.
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator with a strong track record in P2P management within a large, fast‑paced, and often international business environment. You’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working cross‑functionally to deliver measurable results.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a senior P2P or Accounts Payable leadership role.
- Proven success within a complex, Pan‑European or global corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end P2P processes, including Travel & Expense management.
- Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills.
- Background in managing offshore or shared service teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Track record of driving operational improvements and delivering efficiency gains.
- Experience with COUPA and/or Concur.
- Fluency in an additional European language (German, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, or Swedish).
