A successful and fast‑growing, technology‑led SaaS business, a major part of a wider global group, are in the search for an exceptional Divisional Finance Director. This role sits on the Divisional Executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the senior financial authority for the division. This role offers the option to work fully remotely or utilise one of a number of their UK offices. The business is profitable, ambitious, and entering a critical phase of scale. The Opportunity

As Divisional Finance Director, you will own the financial strategy, commercial finance and performance of the division, acting as both a commercial partner and a strategic challenge to the leadership team. You will lead financial planning, reporting, controls, and risk management, while using insight to drive smarter decisions across pricing, investment, product, and go‑to‑market strategy. This is a role for someone who wants impact, visibility, and influence, rather than functional containment. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Act as a core member of the Divisional Executive team, partnering closely with the CEO
  • Provide confident guidance on investment decisions, trade‑offs, and risk

Financial Planning, Performance & Insight

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning at divisional level
  • Develop and track the financial and operational metrics that drive value
  • Deliver clear, commercially focused insight that inform executive decision‑making

Growth, SaaS & Commercial Finance

  • Support pricing strategies, revenue models, and margin optimisation
  • Improve efficiency across subscription billing, contract management, and customer economics
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to align financial outcomes with strategy
  • Full ownership of accounting, reporting, audit, and controls under IFRS and group frameworks
  • Oversight of SaaS revenue recognition and subscription economics
  • Ensure compliance across tax and regulatory requirements, partnering with group specialists where needed

Systems, Technology & Operational Excellence

  • Drive automation and improvement across ERP, FP&A, and analytics tools
  • Maintain cost discipline while supporting rapid scale and innovation
  • Improve financial transparency through timely, high‑quality reporting

Person Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Divisional Finance Director, Finance Director, or senior finance leader, within a SaaS or software environment.
  • Deep commercial understanding of SaaS economics, including recurring revenue metrics, KPIs, pricing strategy, and margin drivers
  • A leadership style that develops strong teams and accountability
  • Executive presence with the confidence to influence, challenge, and partner at senior level
  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
