Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading business to recruit a Senior Group Financial Reporting Accountant into their finance team on a 6-month FTC. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, controls, and working closely with the wider business. You will take ownership of key aspects of statutory and financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close, and help ensure the integrity of the balance sheet. The role will also involve working with senior stakeholders, supporting audit activity, and contributing to process improvements across finance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial reporting in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc finance projects where required.
- Improve reporting processes and strengthen financial control.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with 2 years PQE.
- Practice experience is beneficial.
- Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close.
- Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Strong Excel and SAP skills are compulsory.
