This role would suit a part-qualified accountant who has designs on working their way up to financial controller and beyond.

The position of management accountant will report directly into the Finance Director of a small but rapidly growing software business. Offering the chance to work with someone we have known for many years and who also has a history of developing and promoting members of the finance team. You will be offered a fully remote contract and will be involved in the below set of tasks from the start.

Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation for the month management accounts
  • Preparing required accrual and prepayment journals
  • Managing the companies fixed assets
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Assisting with quarterly and annual forecasting & budgeting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Payroll reconciliation and journal posting
  • VAT returns
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required by SLT

Person specification

  • Active studier, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA
  • Significant experience in a month end reporting role to date, be that financial or management accounts
  • Ambitious and eager for career opportunities and personal development
  • Excellent communicator and able to liaise with senior stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A desire to embrace AI and improve process and procedures
