A growing business in the Reading area is looking for an experienced Finance professional to join the team and act as the go-to person for all finance matters across the business. This role will form an integral part in the operational running of the business and will be a valued and trusted member of the team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cash & treasury reporting
  2. Fixed & intangible asset reporting
  3. Lease accounting
  4. Accruals & prepayments
  5. Payroll reporting
  6. Intercompany recharging & reporting
  7. VAT return preparation and submission to HMRC
  8. General ledger reconciliations & reviews
  9. Assisting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
  10. Posting appropriate transactions to ledgers and reviewing transactions posted by the Finance team
  11. Maintaining management accounting processes
  12. Tax data reporting
  13. Liaising with external & internal auditors
  14. Ad-hoc duties as advised by the company & Site Leads

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Be part / fully finance qualified
  2. Have Intermediate / advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  3. Have excellent understanding and working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems and regulatory framework
  4. Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills
  5. Have good communication skills
  6. Be proactive and able to take initiative
  7. Have the ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  8. Be comfortable working in the office 5 days per week
