A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well‑established UK market leader operating within a franchised network model. This role sits within the central finance function and plays a key part in supporting a nationwide network of franchise partners. Working closely with the Central Billing Manager, you’ll take ownership of credit control activities across national and network accounts, helping to maintain strong cashflow while building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of customer accounts, combining day‑to‑day debt collection with month‑end responsibilities in a fast‑paced, structured environment.

Key Duties

  • Proactive daily chasing of outstanding debt and resolution of both simple and complex queries
  • Collecting debt on behalf of franchise partners for national and network accounts
  • Cash allocation duties including bank statement processing and cashbook maintenance
  • Processing customer card payments via the invoicing system
  • Daily invoice release, ensuring accuracy of pricing and order references (PDF & EDI)
  • Issuing monthly customer statements (PDF/Excel)
  • Acting as a key point of contact for franchisees regarding debt collection
  • Supporting accounts payable with regular payment runs and remittance advice
  • Ad‑hoc finance support as required

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control
  • Confident working with finance systems and ERP platforms (NetSuite highly desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills and solid Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Detail‑focused with excellent problem‑solving ability
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to manage stakeholder relationships
