As the business continues to integrate newly acquired companies, it is looking to appoint an experienced Data Migration Lead to take ownership of finance systems data migration across the group.
This is a highly influential role where you will lead the end-to-end migration of financial data from multiple legacy systems into a standardised finance platform.
You will be responsible for ensuring that data is accurately extracted, cleansed, transformed, mapped, validated and loaded, while maintaining financial integrity throughout each acquisition integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end finance data migration strategy for acquired businesses.
- Own the planning, delivery and governance of data migration workstreams.
- Assess legacy finance systems, data structures and chart of accounts across acquired entities.
- Lead the extraction, cleansing, transformation, mapping and loading of finance data.
- Manage migration activity across areas including general ledger, chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, fixed assets, projects, invoices, payments and balances.
- Establish repeatable migration methodologies, templates, controls and documentation.
- Coordinate migration cycles, mock loads, testing, cutover and post-migration hyper care.
- Ensure migrated data is reconciled accurately back to source systems and financial records.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, Transformation, acquired businesses and implementation partners.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external data migration resources.
- Maintain migration plans, RAID logs, issue registers and progress reporting.
- Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies and required decisions.
- Support the standardisation of finance processes and data structures following each acquisition.
- Ensure migration activity meets appropriate governance, control and audit requirements.
You must have
- Proven experience leading end-to-end data migration projects involving finance or ERP systems.
- Experience working for a company that has undergone significant acquisition-led growth.
- A strong understanding of acquisition integration and the challenges of bringing different finance systems and data structures together.
- Experience migrating finance master data and transactional data.
- Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation.
- Experience leading migration planning, testing, mock loads, cutover and hypercare.
