What you will be doing:
- Own and deliver elements of the group's external financial reporting cycle, including draft statutory accounts, IFRS disclosures, and supporting the Annual Report & Accounts.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts for key UK and overseas entities.
- Lead on technical accounting research and implementation of new or complex IFRS standards as required.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, group journals, and intercompany accounting at a senior level.
- Coordinate closely with external auditors, tax, and corporate finance teams through year-end and interim processes.
- Support process improvement and control enhancements across the reporting function, including working with ERP/systems projects where relevant.
- Mentor and review work of more junior accountants and assistants within the reporting team.
