Job Description
Marble Talent Group are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Solar PV Installer to join our client based in Portsmouth covering Hamsphire. As a Solar PV Installer, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic (solar power) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. You will work with other professionals to ensure that systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with local codes and safety standards.\\nThis position offers the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing field that focuses on renewable energy solutions and sustainable practices.\\n________________________________________\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n• Installation of Solar PV Systems: Install solar panels, inverters, and other components in various settings (residential, commercial, industrial).\\n• Site Assessment: Evaluate the site for solar installations, determining optimal panel placement and ensuring proper system design based on the environment and customer needs.\\n• System Wiring: Connect electrical wiring from solar panels to inverters and other system components, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.\\n• Testing & Commissioning: Test and inspect systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with all electrical, safety, and industry standards.\\n• System Maintenance: Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems, providing recommendations for repairs or upgrades when necessary.\\n• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers, providing them with updates on the installation process and answering any questions regarding their solar system.\\n• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.\\n• Documentation: Maintain accurate installation records, including system specifications, electrical schematics, and completion forms.\\n• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including project managers, electricians, and sales teams, to ensure timely and successful project completion.\\n________________________________________\\nSkills & Qualifications:\\n• Experience: Experience in installing solar PV systems (residential or commercial).
Experience with different types of mounting systems and electrical wiring is preferred.\\n• Technical Skills: Knowledge of solar PV system components (panels, inverters, batteries), electrical systems, and wiring techniques.\\n• Certifications: NABCEP certification or equivalent is preferred. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.\\n• Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical principles, wiring, and safety codes.
