Marble Talent Group are seeking an experienced Static Engineer with a strong Electrical bias to support the on-site delivery of engineering services within a live hospital environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical building services systems, ensuring full compliance with healthcare standards while maintaining a safe and operational environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a permanent static role based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, with no mobile travel required, supporting critical healthcare infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Carry out PPM tasks in line with contract schedules, HTM guidance, and SFG20 standards.
- Perform maintenance on electrical systems and equipment including:
- LV distribution systems
- Distribution boards and sub-main circuits
- Lighting and emergency lighting systems
- UPS systems and standby power systems
- Generators and associated controls
- Isolators, contactors, relays, and control gear
- Reactive Maintenance
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and faults across site.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently while minimising disruption to hospital operations.
- Prioritise reactive works in line with site criticality levels.
- Provide technical support and guidance on electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Skills & Experience Required
- Essential
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Proven experience in electrical building services maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability across electrical systems.
- Desirable
- Test & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Experience working with BMS systems.
- Knowledge of HTM guidance.
